Louka Cottage - charming, tranquil, 300m to Leura Mall

We enjoyed our stay very much.Sleeps 6 but don't think the bathroom facilities could handle 6 adults Positive: Extremely well renovated cottage, short walk to Leura Mall. Well heated with floor heating, reverse cycle and gas fire Beautifully designed garden and lawn area. Loved the fire pit which we did not use - small amount of chopped wood available, not enough to sit there for any length of time. Take your own. With a small amount of tweaking this cottage could be 100% Negative: No champagne glasses, salad bowl or servers and no platters - not good for celebrating a birthday. Tiny cups and saucers - a few coffee mugs would be appreciated. Crockery that was there was new and clean. Step platform provided to reach the microwave which was in the cupboard above the fridge at ceiling level - no one could reach without standing on a chair. Bench level would have been more practical. Bedrooms - the only hanging space was in the main bedroom. One wardrobe in 3rd bedroom was locked, not even a hook in either bedroom to hang clothes and no draw space. Very inconvenient. There's one mirror in the 2nd bedroom, a mirror in each bedroom would be convenient as the bathroom/toilet room was quite often in use. A bathroom bin would have been handy. External laundry under house has a lock box key code - we weren't given the code and it wasn't the same code as the house lock box. We didn't use the laundry but assumed if a broom was needed that's where it was kept. Gas fire pilot light is difficult to locate - there were no instructions in the house manual and the QR code was unhelpful. As this was the main reason for renting the house the very helpful manager came and even he took some time to find it tucked away. With proper instructions this would have been avoided. The busy road sometimes gets a little noisy but didn't worry us.

Tasteful, convenient and inviting. Highly recommend! Positive: Excellent location moments from picturesque Leura mall, the property is well appointed, warm and inviting. Beautifully renovated and tastefully chosen interiors. Host Michael was quick to respond to any queries. Negative: Some sort of washing line or clothes horse would be handy!

Comfortable mountain home, peaceful and everything we needed Positive: Excellent location near Leura Mall, exceptional home, immaculate, clean and comfortable. Everything we needed. Stylish newly renovated and absolute gem and the host very helpful and welcoming.

Positive: Bathtub extremely slippery. Bench top height and bathroom sink height not good for shorter people. Microwave oven was in such a high cabinet that we could not use it (unless we climbed onto a chair). The description of "Private bathroom" and "Shared toilet" is a little misleading as it could be construed as 2 separate rooms. Could not locate the advertised "washing machine" and the "Tumble dryer". No insect screens. No window covering at front door. Negative: Short walk to Leura Mall. House had a nice vibe.
